Lunch
Club is an informal group of people who enjoy a home cooked lunch with others on
the last Wednesday of every month. All are
welcome (not just members of the congregation)!
We do
need advance notice if you are coming as we work to a tight budget
to provide a really good lunch for £3.00. The
Lunch Club has been going strong for some fourteen years which is a mark of its
success
The
following is Lunch Club's annual report
Another good year (our fourteenth we think!). We have lost some old
friends & gained some new. However we face the retirement of Wesley &
Noreen with much sadness. Wesley’s presence at nearly every Lunch has been
much appreciated by our clubbers & we Shall certainly miss his help in
preparing the room. Noreen has been a wonderful help over her years in Eltham.
Not only has she been a real hands- on kitchen maid but has made all the
delicious puddings. We cannot thank them both enough & wish them a long
& well deserved happy retirement.
Good old Molly has joined us in the kitchen & is a wonderful help. We
can accommodate a few more to our lunches so do see if you are interested.
