Services at Eltham Park

Fun Day

A great day was had by over 100 people on Saturday 11 July as the church opened its doors to welcome visitors and show them a little of what goes on at Eltham Park.

In the church itself there was a wonderful photo display showing the history of the church as well as performances from the Golden Girls, Brownies, Rainbows and Junior Church.

In the coffee shop there was a treasure hunt, cake stall, face painting and lots of entertainment including mask making for the younger visitors.

The guides and brownies had stalls in the large hall with games, books and toys and two of the Coffee Shop regulars had their stalls selling cards and gifts.

Outside there were various games provided by the Boys Brigade and luckily the weather stayed kind. Inside the small hall, there was a chance to relax and enjoy tea, coffee, hot dogs and bacon rolls provided by the hard working catering ladies. A big thank you to everyone who helped in any way!

The aim was to show the community what we get up to in church (as well as worship of course) and it was very pleasing to see what can be done when everyone pulls together!
