Weddings at Eltham Park
A royal palace, a palatial mansion, the town hall or your local church - where do you want to get married?
The convenience of a ‘posh’ venue with everything on one site has much to recommend it, but if you want to experience the simple joy which comes from asking God’s blessing on your marriage, the church is the place for you. There are plenty of good reception venues within easy driving distance of the church.
So what will your experience be if you decide to come to Eltham Park Methodist Church for your wedding service? First, it would be good if you came to one o four morning services so that you can get an idea of what a Methodist church feels like. You could have a quick look at the wedding service in the service book – asks a steward to help you find it.
When you feel that our church is the place where you want to get married, telephone our Minister, Robbie Riddell on 0208 850 2406 and he will guide you on from there.
You can expect him to help you find a suitable date and, nearer the time of the wedding, he will talk to you both about your future together. On a practical note, he will help you to choose hymns, music and readings. He will ensure that an organist is available and will introduce you to one of our flower arrangers. If you wish, you can organise your own flower arrangements.
Finally, the great day arrives; you are in the church surrounded by family; and friends. The Minster says, “We meet together in the presence of God ..” And you know that you are about to embark on a great adventure together. You will need faith, hope and love and, with God's help. You will receive them all in abundance.
